Study: No credit crunch expected by Swiss economy

22 December 2009 – The vast majority of Swiss banks and companies are expecting a slow recovery for the economy and consider it unlikely that there will be a credit crunch within the next twelve months. However, widespread financing shortages cannot be ruled out for individual sectors, such as engineering, automotive suppliers and construction.

14 December 2009 – The majority of the Swiss (58%) feel either unaffected or hardly affected by the economic crisis; only 1 in 17 consider themselves strongly affected. 42% of survey respondents believe their standard of living has increased over the last 10 years; 22% perceive it to have worsened.

Global IPO recovery in second half of 2009 led by China and Brazil

9 December 2009 – After stagnant markets in the first two quarters, IPO activity started to pick-up in the second half of 2009, principally driven by deals from Asia and South America.
