In January 2008, the VAT department of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration published changes in practice within the real estate
sector. What “bad decisions” lead to irreversible, suboptimal results in the long term from a VAT perspective? In terms of tax
savings, what potential could be realized by VAT-optimized decisions? How would this influence the purchase price, financing and
the return on the property concerned? Experienced VAT specialists will discuss these and other questions. The debate and the
cocktail reception afterward will offer the opportunity to engage in personal conversations and chat about the individual case
studies at hand and beyond.
