The majority of companies listed on the Swiss stock exchange currently use International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Since January 1, 2005,
all companies listed on an EU exchange have been obliged to draw up their balance sheets in accordance with IFRS. However, even mid-sized companies who are
not listed on any stock exchange but are looking for investors, require credit or work with international corporate groups are coming under pressure to change
over to IFRS.

Since last year, banks have been confronted with much greater challenges in terms of risk
management. Boards of directors also have to meet significantly higher expectations in this area.
Bruno Oppliger, Head of the Financial Services Risk Management Team at Ernst & Young, will offer
insights into the role, remit and duties of the board of directors, together with an introduction to the
subject of risk management, at the annual 'Bank BoDs' conference organized by "Schweizer Bank',
